1. Execute Commands on Client from within the telnet session!
A new utility called gs_exec is included in the telnet server installation directory. The syntax is:
gs_exec client_side_command_line
Example:
gs_put d:\xfer\file1.doc c:\received\file1.doc
gs_exec winword c:\received\file1.doc
gs_get c:\received\file1.doc d:\xfer\file1.doc
This will transfer the document file1.doc to the local computer, run the MS Word editor to edit the
document, and then transfer the document back to the server.
A command-line option /scmddelay was added to the client software gs_clnt.exe to modify the time for how long the results of the client side commands are displayed in the gs_clnt.exe window. The defaults is 2000[ms].

3. IP Addresses can be specified as ranges and wild cards
can be used.
When using the gs_logon.txt and gs_auto,txt files IP

- Automatic Logon for 3rd Party Clients
With 3rd party clients you can pre-configure the User Id, Password and
Domain to expedite connection time to the
telnet server. Especially useful with RF Barcode/Data Collection Terminals
when coupled with the Session Saver.
- Color - Re-mapping - All Clients
This feature allows you to re-map (change) the colors the user will see
when using the Georgia SoftWorks Telnet Server.
Modify your application colors so they are easy to read on a grayscale
device without any source code changes. Also re-map your colors to fit a
customer's look and feel with source code changes.
Get the colors just the way you like on the Hand Held device.
- New Java Applet Parameters that allow flexible display
options.
useTopLeftLocation - Places the work area in the top left corner of the
rectangle specified for the applet.
useMSDOSFrame - Specifies if the Classic MSDOS frame will be drawn around
the work area of the applet.
userBorders - Specifies if the Borders will be drawn around the applet.
useBoldFont - Tells the applet to use the Bold Font.
Great for the RF Terminals with a Browser when connecting via telnet.

- Connection Banner
A custom banner can be specified that is displayed to the client upon

- Capability to disable the mouse in telnet session.
(Keyboard only option)
GS_Clnt.exe was modified to allow for a new command line option:
/k
which, when set will disable the mouse in the telnet session.

Remote Registration utility that allows the serial number number to be applied

The User Manual (in MS Word format) is now accessible via an icon if MS Word

Version 6.12 - July 11, 2000
The features introduced in this version further enhance the operation for RF
Terminal customers.
Each of the features can be used as a fine tuning mechanism to provide
optimal settings when working with slow links and RF terminals particularly in
Standby or Sleep Mode.
New Features:
1. TCP Receive Windows Size
Provision the TCP receive window size on a per user basis. The TCP Receive
Window specifies the number of bytes a sender may transmit without receiving an
acknowledgment. Provisioning is accomplished via a the environment variable
gwtn_tcpwindowsize
for example
set gwtn_tcpwindowsize=4380
2. Maximum retransmission Count for TCP session Data
New Utility: gs_tcp.exe
Provision the maximum retransmission count for TCP session data. This count
controls the number of times TCP will retransmit an individual data segment (not
connection request segments) before aborting the connection.Note: The system
must be rebooted before this feature takes effect.
Defect Resolutions
1. With some terminal emulators a extra character 'w' would be
displayed on the screen during initialization. Initialization sequence for
vt-100, vt-220, vt-320, vt-420 has been modified to correct.

2. Expired Password handling when original password was blank corrected.
Software would keep prompting for new password when the old password was blank
and expired, but the password remained unaltered. A login failure would be the
result.

3. CAPs Lock on Windows 95/98
When CAPs lock is ON, the shift key would not work with non alphabetic
characters. This would cause problems with users where their normal operation
was with CAPs lock on. This problem existed only with the Georgia SoftWorks
Telnet Client on Windows 95/98 systems.

platform independence for remote access to the Georgia SoftWorks Telnet
Server by providing access from the most popular browsers such as MS IE and
Netscape.

Launch GUI applications on the server's desktop from a telnet session using
