Of course it has the full features offered in the GSW Telnet Client software for

2. Capability to specify that all child processes started in the session will be
terminated when the session ends. The Graceful
Termination will be attempted first. Use the environment variable
gwtn_job_control.

3. Server side banner changed to show support for Windows 2003.
Defect Resolution:
1. Pocket PC 2002 Client setup software sometimes failed to launch the device

terminate one or more sessions.

1. Trailing form-feed character in Passthrough printing has
been made conditional based on the gwtn_ff_in_passthrough login script variable.
The possible values are 'y' and 'n'

2. Setup program preserves user's changes to txt files in
the telnet server root directory.

2. If you attempt to do a gs_get on a file that does not exist on the client
machine, a zero byte file was created on the server. This behavior has been
eliminated.

1. Execute Commands on Client from within the telnet session!
A new utility called gs_exec is included in the telnet server installation directory. The syntax is:
gs_exec client_side_command_line
Example:
gs_put d:\xfer\file1.doc c:\received\file1.doc
gs_exec winword c:\received\file1.doc
gs_get c:\received\file1.doc d:\xfer\file1.doc
This will transfer the document file1.doc to the local computer, run the MS Word editor to edit the
document, and then transfer the document back to the server.
A command-line option /scmddelay was added to the client software gs_clnt.exe to modify the time for how long the results of the client side commands are displayed in the gs_clnt.exe window. The defaults is 2000[ms].

1. Autologon feature implemented for GSW Client.
Obtain full telnet capability without performing the registration process. Use
the Floating License to quickly move the telnet server to a different machine.
The next feature is especially useful for ASP customers!
2. Logon Limitations
Limit the number of sessions allowed by
a specific User ID.
Limit the number of times a specific User Id can be logged on
via telnet..
Limit the number of sessions allowed
from a specific IP Address.
Limit the number of logons that can occur from a specific IP
Address.
3. IP Addresses can be specified as ranges and wild cards
can be used.
When using the gs_logon.txt and gs_auto,txt files IP
address ranges and wildcard characters can be used.

File Transfer in both directions is now complete with the
addition of the GS_GET utility.
1. File transfer capability from Client to Server.
A new utility called GS_Get is included in the telnet server installation directory. The syntax is:
GS_GET <source_file_path> <destination_file_path>
For example:
gs_get c\books\dealers.doc d:\corba\hints\dealers.doc
This will transfer the file c:\books\dealers.doc from the client computer and save it as
d:\corba\hints\delears.doc on the server.
